කන්දකාඩු මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය පුනුරුත්ථාපන මධ්‍යස්ථානය හරහා ඇතිවී තිබෙන නව කොරෝනා රෝගී පොකුර හේතුවෙන් සමාජයට වෛරසය ව්‍යාප්තවීමේ අවධානමක් පවතින බව වසංගත රෝග විද්‍යා අංශයේ ප්‍රධානි විශේෂඥ වෛද්‍ය සුදත් සමරවීර ප්‍රකාශ කර සිටිනවා.

අපරාධ පරීක්ෂණ දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන සිටින පොලිස් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය නාශක කාර්යාංශයේ නිලධාරීන් මත්ද්‍රව්‍ය ජාවාරම්වලට අමතරව ව්‍යාජ මුදල් නෝට්ටු මුද්‍රණය කිරීමේ ජාවාරමක ද නිරත වී ඇති බව කොළඹ ප්‍රධාන මහෙස්ත්‍රාත් අධිකරණයේදී ඊයේ (08 වැනිදා) අනාවරණය විය.

At least 315 inmates at the Welikada prison, who were subjected to PCR tests, have tested negative for COVID-19, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said.

Fifty six persons out of 450 inmates and staff members at the Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre – East in Kandakadu, have tested positive for COVID-19, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe said today.

Sixty per cent of the total vehicles registered at the Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) is not in good running condition, DMT Assistant Commissioner J.A.S. Jayaweera said.

The dispute involves the misuse of public position by a sitting High Court Judge, preventing right of passage to the property owner and the public on a road where the UDA and SLRDC have acquired the servitudal rights and the soil right retained by the land owner. A portion of the Pepiliyana property subdivided, is 40m approximately, down the road from High Court Judge’s residence. The subdivision of this portion of that property took place in 2009. At this time this access road was the only way in to the property. In 2015/16 the property was divided by a canal known as the Werasganga Project and two gravel roads were constructed on either side of the canal by the SLRDC, after a survey was conducted by the Survey Generals Department. Prior to this in 2013 the upper section of the access road, where the High Court Judge’s residence is located was acquired by the Western Province Government.
