The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) yesterday defended its presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s renunciation of his US citizenship and attempted to frame any criticism on the issue as a political move to undermine his election campaign.

රටේ ප්‍රශ්නවලට සැබෑ විසඳුම් ඇත්තේ ජාතික ජන බලවේගය සතුව බව එහි ජනාධිපති ධූර අපේක්ෂක පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක පවසනවා.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is an undemocratic and unlawful political manoeuvre for it was a political exercise executed against the aspirations of the majority of the party membership, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga charged.

National People’s Power (NPP) candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayaka yesterday called on President Maithripala Sirisena to reconsider the pardon granted to Jude Shramantha Jayamaha, the convict in the Royal Park murder case and requested the Attorney General as well as the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) to intervene in the matter.

ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා සහ එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂය ප්‍රමුඛ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී ජාතික පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපතිවරණ අපේක්ෂක සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතා අතර විශේෂ හමුවක් හෙට (12) දිනයේදී පැවැත්වීමට නියමිත බව වාර්තා වේ.

හිටපු ආරක්ෂක ලේකම්, ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ජනපති අපේක්ෂක ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ සම්බන්ධ කරමින් ලිපි ලේඛන කිහිපයක් ඊයේ යම්කිසිවෙකු හෝ විසින් අන්තර්ජාලයට මුදාහැර තිබුණා. ඒ ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ පුරවැසිභාවය ප්‍රශ්න කරමින්.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපතිධුර අපේක්ෂක ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සියයට 54කින් පැහැදිලි ජයග්‍රහණයක් ලබන බව විපක්ෂ නායක මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ඇමරිකානු පුරවැසිකම ඉවත් කරගැනීමේ ලේඛන අවශ්‍ය අය වන්නේ මැතිවරණ කොමසාරිස් කාර්යාලය පමණක් බවත් එහෙයින් ඔවුන් වෙත අදාළ ලේඛන ලබාදී ඇති බවත් යමෙකුගේ පුරවැසිකම ගැන ප්‍රශ්නයක් ඇසූ විට හැමෝටම ලේඛන ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමේ සිරිතක් නොමැති බවත් ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ප්‍රධාන නීති උපදේශක මොහොමඩ් අලි සබ්‍රි මහතා පවසයි.

සමික්ෂණ වාර්තා ඇවිත් තියෙනවා 59 % ජනතා කැමැත්ත ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමාට. අපිට කියන්න තියෙන්නේ වෙන මොකවත් නෙමෙයි පව් සජිත්,දුකයි සජිත්,මේ මිනිහා දේශපාලනයෙන් ඉවර කරන්න තමයි රනිල් සුදානම් වෙන්නේ. දැන් මහා අරගලයක්ලු සිරිකොතේ විපක්ෂ නායක කමට. පරාජය පිළිගෙන ඉවරයි.ජනාධිපතිවරණයට ඉල්ලන කෙනා මොකටද විපක්ෂ නායක කම ගැන කතා කරන්නනේ .පරාජය පිළිගෙන ඉවරයි.ඉතිං පව් කියන්නැතිව වෙන මොනවද කියන්නේ.මාත් එක්ක පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ හිටපු සගය.දුකයි සජිත් නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රි සි.බි රත්නායක සමතා පවසයි.

ඇමතිවරුන්ගේ කාර්ය මණ්ඩල වල ඉන්න සාමාජිකයන් ස්ථිර කිරීමට කැබිනට් පත්‍රිකා ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇත්තේ ඔවුන් පරාජය වෙන බව දන්නා නිසා යැයි පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී විමල් වීරවිංශ මහතා පවසයි.

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa said the present government which is under the influence of several Non-Governmental Organizations that were campaigning against the humanitarian operation did not prioritize national security. Rajapaksa also said that the government had a Cabinet under the influence of foreign forces.
