Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) candidate Oshadi Hewamaddumahas said candidates unfit for Parliament have been granted nominations by the SLPP for the upcoming General Election.

ලොව ප්‍රබලතම නායකයන්ටද පාලනය කළ නොහැකි වූ, හිසරදයක් වූ කොරෝනා වෛරසය පාලනය කිරීමට ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සමත්ව ඇති හෙයින් කිසිදු බියකින් තොරව ජීවත් විය හැකි බව හිටපු පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී ඩිලාන් පෙරේරා මහතා පවසනවා.

Former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen arrived at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) this morning to give a statement over investigations into the Easter Sunday attacks.

SLPP’s Muslim Federation Leader Ali Sabry PC has called upon the members of the Muslim community to show their solidarity towards the victory of the party led by Premier Mahinda Rajapaksa, who has an affinity towards the Muslims of Sri Lanka.

රටට වැඩ කිරිමේදී තමන් පක්ෂ පාට නොසලකා කටයුතු කළ බව හිටපු ජනාධිපති මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා පවසයි.

මෛත්‍රීපාල සිරිසේන මහතා ශ්‍රීලනිප නායකත්වයට පත්කළේ මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විසින්ම බවත්, තමන් විසින් සිදුකළ එකම වරද පක්ෂ නායකත්වයට අවංක ලෙස කටයුතු කිරීම බවත් ශ්‍රීලනිප මහ ලේකම් දයාසිරි ජයසේකර මහතා පවසනවා. පසුගිය ජනාධිපතිවරණයේදී අවංකව ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතාගේ ජයග්‍රහණය වෙනුවෙන් කැප වී ක්‍රියා කළ බවත්, එසේ කටයුතු කළ ශ්‍රීලනිපයට තමන්ගේ කණ්ඩායමෙන්ම විවිධ කෙනෙහිලි සිදුවන බවත් ඔහු පෙන්වා දෙනවා.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday attended several public meetings in Colombo in support of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) candidates contesting the upcoming General Election. The general public in area requested the President to eradicate the drug menace from the country, similar to the manner in which he provided them with housing after doing away with the slums.

එළඹෙන පාර්ලිමේන්තු මැතිවරණයට අදාළව ප‍්‍රචාරක කටයුතු සිදුකිරීමේදී සමගි ජනබලවේගය විසින් කොළ වර්ණය භාවිත කිරීම වළක්වාලීමට අවශ්‍ය පියවර ගන්නැයි ඉල්ලමින් එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂය විසින් මැතිවරණ කොමිසමට අද ලිපියක් යොමු කළා.

The Attorney General has filed indictments in the Colombo High Court against former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka for causing grievous Injury to a person by Rash and Negligent Acts and other charges, AG’s Coordinating Secretary Nishara Jayaratne said.

Referring to the remark made by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Tuesday that the SLPP needs a two thirds majority to replace the saloon door with a metal door in order to establish a stronger government, former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said, the saloon door had already been removed and sold out.
