Senior member of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) and former Gampaha District MP Vijitha Herath said that the Party would not allow the repeal of the 19th Amendment to Constitution and would join forces with any Party in the next Parliament to block any such moves, this week.

Former President Chandrika Kumaratunga has returned 4 of the 12 vehicles allocated to her by the Presidential Secretariat. In a letter sent to the Secretary to the President Dr. P.B. පක්‍ෂයෙන් ඉවත් කෙරුණු පළාත් පාලන ආයතන මන්තී‍්‍රවරුන් වෙනුවට අලූත් මන්තී‍්‍රවරුන් පිිරිසක් පත් කරන බව එක්සත් ජාතික පක්‍ෂය පවසනවා. එහි මහ ලේකම් අකිල විරාජ් කාරියවසම් නෙත් නිවුස් වෙත කියාසිටියේ ඊට අදාළ ලේඛණය මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව වෙත ලබාදීමටද කටයුතු කර ඇති බවයි.

ඡන්ද දායකයාගේ බලාපොරොත්තු සහ අරමුණු සාක්‍ෂාත් කිරීමට බලයට පත් වූ කිසිදු දේශපාලන බලවේගයකට මෙතෙක් හැකි වී නොමැති බව ජාතික ජනබලවේගයේ නායක අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක පවසනවා.

රුපියල් 2500 කින් පවුලකට ජීවත් විය හැකි බවට තමන් ප්‍රකාශ නොකළ බව අමාත්‍ය ආචාර්ය බන්දුල ගුණවර්ධන මහතා පවසයි.
