බලශක්ති අමාත්‍ය උදය ගම්මන්පිලට එරෙහිව ගෙන ආ විශ්වාසභංග යෝජනාව පරාජයට පත්වීම ජනාතව ලැබූ පරාජයක් බව සමගි ජන බලවේගය පවසනවා. එහි ජාතික සංවිධායක පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී තිස්ස අත්තනායක පැවසුවේ ඉන්ධන මිල වැඩි කිරීම සම්බන්ධයෙන් ආණ්ඩුවේ ඇතැම් මැති ඇමතිවරුන් සිදු කළ ප්‍රකාශ ජනතාව නොමග යැවීමට ගත් උත්සහයක් බව විශ්වාසභංගයේදී ඡන්දය ප්‍රකාශ කළ ආකාරයෙන් පැහැදිලි වන බවයි.
