A meeting between President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and representatives of the Progressive Trade Union Federation was held at the President’s House in Colombo on Saturday.

An Extraordinary Gazette notice has been issued to establish the Sainthamaruthu Urban Council.

දක්ෂිණ සහ මධ්‍යම අධිවේගී මාර්ග ඇතුළු සියලු අධිවේගී මාර්ග ව්‍යාපෘතිවල කටයුතු ඉතා කඩිනමින් අවසන් කරන්නැයි ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා උපදෙස් ලබා දී තිබෙනවා. මාර්ග හා මහා මාර්ග අමාත්‍යංශයේ ඉහළ නිළධාරීන් සහ ජනාධිපතිවරයා අතර හමුවක් ජනාධිපති ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේදී පැවති අතර එහිදී ජනාධිපතිවරයා මෙම උපදෙස් ලබා දී තිබේ.

මැතිසබය විසුරුවා හැරීම සඳහා මාර්තු මාසයේ මුල්භාගයේ සුබනැකැත් දෙකක් රජයට ලබාදී ඇතැයි විශ්වාස කටයුතු ආරංචි මාර්ග පවසයි. මාර්තු 10ට පෙර දින දෙකක මෙම සුබ නැකත් යෙදී ඇතැයි දැනගන්නට තිබේ.

මේ දිනවල පවතින වියළි කාලගුණ තත්ත්වයත් සමග කළු ගඟේ ජලයට ලවණ මිශ්‍රවී ඇති බැවින් කළු ගඟෙන් සපයන ලවණ මුසු වූ ජලය පානය කිරීමට නුසුදුසු බව ජාතික ජලසම්පාදන හා ජලාපවාහන මණ්ඩලය පවසනවා.

බන්ධනාගාර වල පවතින තදබදය අවම කිරීම සඳහා අවශ්‍ය කටයුතු යොදන්නැයි අධිකරණ, මානව හිමිකම් හා නීති ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ අමාත්‍ය නිමල් සිරිපාල ද සිල්වා මහතා බලධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් දී තිබේ.

Appearing as the Defence Minister, President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa had sought court approval for a detention order under the Prevention of Terrorism Act, at the Panadura Magistrate’s Court on February 13.

A National Salaries Commission has been established to provide guidance and assistance to the Government in formulating and executing a National Salaries Policy.
