President Gotabaya Rajapaksa with the powers vested in him directed a number of relief measures to people undergoing various hardships due to the prevailing situation brought on by the Coronavirus. All these concessions will come into effect with immediate effect.

විදෙස් රටවල සිට ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට පැමිණ නිරෝධායන ක්‍රියාවලියට ලක්වූ පළමු කණ්ඩායම අද (24) වෛද්‍ය පරීක්ෂණයකින් අනතුරුව මුදා හැරෙන බව හමුදාපති ශවේන්ද්‍ර සිල්වා මහතා පවසයි.

The curfew imposed in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam districts and the Northern Province will be lifted at 6 am tomorrow (24) and it will be re-imposed at 12 noon on the same day and will continue until 6 am on Friday (March 27).

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has directed legal experts and the Department of Prisons to look into ways of granting some relief to the prisoners who were charged with minor offences and those who are unable to meet their bail conditions.

ඇඳිරි නීතිය පනවා ඇති අවස්ථාවන් හී අත්‍යාවශ්‍ය රාජකාරී කටයුතු සඳහා බැංකු සේවකයින්ට රාජකාරී හැඳුනුම්පත භාවිතා කරමින් සිය රාජකාරී කටයුතු සඳහා වාර්තා කළ හැකි බව වැඩබලන පොලිස්පති දන්වා ඇති බවයි රජයේ ප්‍රවෘත්ති දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් පෙන්වා දෙන්නේ.

The Government has permitted transportation and unloading of fish during curfew hours.

අද (24) පෙරවරු 6.00න් ඇඳිරි නීතිය ඉවත් කළ ප්‍රදේශවලට යළි ඇඳිරි නීතිය ක්‍රියාත්මක වන වේලාව පස්වරු 2.00 දක්වා දිර්ඝ කර තිබේ.

කොරෝනා ආසාදිත පුද්ගලයන්ගේ සංඛ්‍යාව මේ වනවිට 86 දක්වා ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය පවිත්‍රා වන්නිආරච්චි මහත්මිය පවසයි.

Curfew in the Colombo Gampaha and Kalutara districts will continue until further notice as these have been identified as high risk zone for COVID-19, the Presidential Media Division said.
