ජනාධිපති මාධ්‍ය අංශය නිවේදනය කළේ, කොළඹ, ගම්පහ, කළුතර, පුත්තලම, මහනුවර සහ යාපනය යන දිස්ත්‍රික්ක හැර සෙසු සියලුම දිස්ත්‍රික්කවල දැනට ක්‍රියාත්මක ඇඳිරි නීතිය අද(06) උදෑසන 6.00 සිට තාවකාලිකව කර තිබේ.

ගොවි විශ‍්‍රාම වැටුප් සහ ධීවර විශ‍්‍රාම වැටුප් ලබාදීම හෙට (06) සිට ආරම්භ කරන බව තැපැල් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව පවසනවා.

The curfew in 19 districts except in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna will be lifted on April 9 at 6.00 am and re-imposed at 4.00 pm on the same day, the President's Media Division said.

The government has taken steps to facilitate those who temporarily reside in the Western Province for work and are stranded due to the curfew, to return home in other parts of the country.

Army Commander Shavendra Silva requested those who completed the mandatory quarantine period to undergo another 14-day quarantine period at their homes. He renewed the request after two persons who completed the 14-day quarantine were tested positive for COVID-19.

The Government is considering relaxing the curfew in districts where covid 19 has had no effect, after the April festive season. The possibility of relaxing the curfew in selected areas was discussed at a high profile meeting of government officials and law enforcement officers headed by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday following expert advice that those areas had no major threat of spreading the virus.

හෙට(06) අප්ප්‍රේල් 06 සඳුදා සිට 10 සිකුරාදා දක්වා සතියේ වැඩකරන දින රාජ්‍ය, පෞද්ගලික දෙඅංශයේම ආයතන සඳහා නිවසේ සිට වැඩකරන කාලයක් ලෙස ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කර ඇත.

The decision to seek a determination of the Supreme Court on the issues arising from the inability to convene a new Parliament before the first week of June as pointed out by Election Commission (EC) Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya, would be taken by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa this week, a senior government minister told The Sunday Morning.
