President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed the Power and Energy Ministry to look into attracting foreign investment to fast-track long-delayed projects and follow proper procurement procedures, a statement from the President’s Media said yesterday.

The Treasury has approved the payment bonus for employees of state-owned statutory bodies and fully state-owned companies for 2019, the Finance Ministry said today.
