President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday said he would renegotiate the Hambantota Port lease agreement, terming it a “mistake” and calling on the Chinese company to be open to the move while assuring that he remained committed to strong relations with the global superpower.

19 වන ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය සහ ස්වාධීන කොමිෂන් සභා නිසා කිසිම වැඩක් කිරීමට නොහැකි තත්වයක් උද්ගත වී ඇති බව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

සංස්ථා සභාපතිවරු සහ අධ්‍යක්ෂ මණ්ඩල පත්කිරීම පෙර සිදු වූ අයුරින් නොව ස්වාධීන කමිටුවක් හරහා සුදුස්සා පත් කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පැවසීය. ඒ අනුව සුදුසුකම් සහිත තැනැත්තන් පිළිබඳව එම කමිටුවට දැනුම් දිය හැකි බවයි රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පැවසුවේ.

පාර්ලිමේන්තුව ලබන වසරේ මාර්තු මස මුලදී විසුරුවා හැර පාර්ලිමේන්තු මහ මැතිවරණය අප්‍රේල් මස අගදී හෝ මැයි මස මුලදී පැවත්වීමට නියමිත බව රජයේ ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරයි.

රාජ්‍ය ආයතනවල ප්‍රධානීන් අධ්‍යක්ෂක මණ්ඩල සාමාජිකයන් තෝරා ගැනීම සඳහා විශේෂ කමිටුවක් ජනාධිපතිවරයා විසින් පත්කර තිබෙනවා. එම කමිටුව සාමාජිකයන් සිව් දෙනෙකුගෙන් සමන්විත වේ.
