Several railway services along the main, coastal, Kelani Valley, Northern and Chilaw lines had been suspended today following instructions by the Railways General manager, the Control Room said.

According to the latest statistics issued by the Epidemiology Unit yesterday a total of 133 individuals (including nine foreigners) are currently under observation for COVID-19. Eighteen Sri Lankans living in Sri Lanka found positive for the virus are now being treated at the National Infectious Diseases Hospital and several other centres.

The Government has ramped up its anti-Coronavirus drive, with a plan to set up regional offices at divisional secretariat level to coordinate health measures and educate the public on preventing COVID-19.
