A group of 197 Sri Lankans stranded in Dubai due to travel restrictions amidst the coronavirus pandemic has arrived in the island this morning, onboard a special SriLankan Airlines flight.

ඊයේ (07) දිනයේ හඳුනා ගනු ලැබූ කොරෝනා වෛරස් ආසාදිතයින් 27 දෙනා අතරින් 25 දෙනෙකුම නාවික හමුදා සාමාජිකයින් බව වාර්තා වේ.

Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister and Former Central Bank Governor, Ajith Nivaard Cabraal today denied social media reports that ‘his son and daughter who had arrived recently in Sri Lanka on a special flight from London, had misbehaved at the airport upon arrival demanding VIP treatment.’

Twenty one more Covid-19 infected patients were reported this evening increasing the total cases to 795, the Health Ministry said.
