සිංහල බෞද්ධ ජනතාවගේ අයිතිවාසිකම් ආරක්ෂා කළ යුතු බවත් ඒ සම්බන්ධ වගන්තියක් 20වැනි සංශෝධනයට දානවානම් තමන්ද අත ඔසවන බවත් සමගි ජන බලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී සරත් ෆොන්සේකා මහතා අද(22) පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී විසිවැනි සංශෝධන විවාදයට එක්වෙමින් කියා සිටියේය.

Whilst reiterating that those holding dual citizenship should not be involved in Sri Lanka’s administration, Minister Vasudeva Nanayakkara yesterday called for an amendment to the 20th Amendment to include a clause to prevent such persons from being appointed to Parliament.

අද පස්වරුව තෙක් විවාදය පැවැත්වෙන අතර රාතී‍්‍ර 07 යි 30 ට ඊට අදාළ ඡුන්ද විමසීම පැවැත්වීමටයි නියමිතව ඇත්තේ.

ද්විත්ව පුරවැසිභාවයට අදාළ වගන්තිය හැර විසි වන ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධන පනත් කෙටුම්පතේ වගන්ති කිහිපයක් සංශෝධනය කිරීමට ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ එකඟ වී ඇති බව වාර්තා වෙයි.

වර්තමානයේ රටට අවශ්‍ය විදේශ විනිමය ආදායම ගෙන දෙන ආර්ථිකයේ ජීවනාලිය ලෙස කාන්තාව සැලකෙන බැවින් පෞද්ගලික අංශයේ සේවයේ නියුතු කාන්තා පාර්ශ්වයන්ගේ මාර්තෘ ප්‍රතිලාබ පිරිවැය රජය විසින් දැරිය යුතු යැයි සමගි ජනබලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී ඉරාන් වික්‍රමරත්න මහතා අඟහරුවාදා (20) පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ දී රජයෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටියේය.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara, yesterday continued their criticism of the 20th Amendment, questioning whether the controversial Constitutional change will help contain the spread of COVID-19 and the economic crisis the country is facing.
