The Government has initiated discussions to take back a majority of the Trincomalee oil tanks which were given to the Lanka Indian Oil Corporation (LIOC) on a 35-year lease, Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila told Parliament on Tuesday.

20 වැනි සංශෝධන කෙටුම්පතට ඉදිරියේදී එක් කරන බවට දැනට අධිකරණයට දැනුම් දී ඇති සංශෝධනවලට අමතරව තවත් සංශෝධන අවශ්‍ය නම් ආණ්ඩුව තුළ සිටින ඒ ඒ පක්ෂවලට තමන්ගේ යෝජනා ජනාධිපතිවරයා සහ අග්‍රාමාත්‍යවරයාට ඉදිරිපත් කර, කැබිනට් මණ්ඩලයෙහි සාකච්ඡා කර ඒවා ඇතුළත් කරගත හැකි බව ක්‍රීඩා හා තරුණ කටයුතු අමාත්‍ය නාමල් රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

ආණ්ඩුව සමඟ එක්වීමට තමන් අදහස් කර නැතැයි පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්තී‍්‍ර රිෂාඞ් බදියුදීන් මහතා සමගි ජනබලවේගයේ පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්තී‍්‍ර කණ්ඩායම් රැස්වීමේදී ප්‍රකාශ කර තිබේ.

පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේ රැස්වීම් අද සිට (ඔක්තෝබර් 06 වැනිදා) ඔක්තෝබර් 09 වැනිදා දක්වා පැවැත්වීමට කථානායක මහින්ද යාපා අබේවර්ධන මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් රැස්වූ පාර්ලිමේන්තු කටයුතු පිළිබඳ කාරක සභාව තීරණය කර තිබේ.

කාගේ හෝ මතයක් රැගෙන එය ජාතික මතවාදය යැයි පවසමින් විහිළු කතාකිරීම නුසුදුසු බව ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය කෙහෙළිය රඹුක්වැල්ල මහතා අවධාරණය කරයි.

පාර්ලිමේන්තු රැස්වීම් ඉදිරියට පවත්වාගෙන යාම සම්බන්ධයෙන් අද දිනයේදී අවසන් තීරණයක් ගැනීමට නියමිතව තිබෙනවා.
