The Government yesterday said it was disappointed with S&P’s rating downgrade as it came just after the Parliamentary approval of Budget 2021, which it said had laid out a carefully-crafted framework for solid economic recovery.

Former Chairman of the National Election Commission Mahinda Dehapriya has been appointed as the chairman of Delimitation Commission of Sri Lanka.

පළාත් සභා මැතිවරණය කඩිනමින් පැවැත්වීමට අවධානය යොමු කරන ලෙස අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා විසින් මැතිවරණ කොමිසමේ සාමාජිකයින්ට උපදෙස් ලබාදී ඇත.

සිරකරුවන් දෙස මානුෂීයව අවධානය යොමු කර පවතින අඩු පාඩු විසඳා අවශ්‍ය පහසුකම් සැලසීමට කඩිනම් පියවර ගන්නැයි ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ බලධාරීන්ට උපදෙස් දී ඇත.

සෑම වසරකම දෙසැම්බර් 10 වැනි දින සමරනු ලබන ජාත්‍යන්තර මානව හිමිකම් දිනය අදට යෙදී තිබේ.

The proposals presented under the 2021 Budget will come to effect from today, the Finance Ministry said.
