A 52-year-old Covid-19 infected woman died at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) today, reporting the 9th COVID-19 death in Sri Lanka, Director Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.

An Army soldier who had collapsed near the public toilets of Dambulla Bus stand earlier today (04) had passed away, Dambulla police say.

A naval person who had infected COVID-19 and was under treatment at the IDH hospital was discharged yesterday as the first naval person to recover, the Navy said.

The majority of the COVID-19 infections reported from yesterday (03) are Navy personnel, said Commander of the Army Shavendra Silva.
