Analysts attribute the most successful SLDB issue in recent years to free-float exchange rate regime and higher rate

Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal said that Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa scheduled meeting with IMF in Washington DC next month ‘not for the purpose of debt restructuring’.

විනිමය අනුපාත නිදහසේ තීරණය වීමට ඉඩ හැරීම ප්‍රමාද කිරීම, භාණ්ඩ මිල ගණන් ක්ෂණිකව විශාල අගයකින් ඉහළ යාමට හේතුවී ඇති බව කොළඹ විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයේ ආර්ථික විද්‍යා අධ්‍යන අංශයේ ජේ්‍යෂ්ඨ කතිකාචාර්ය ආචාර්ය ප්‍රියංග දුනුසිංහ පවසනවා. එම තීරණය ප්‍රමාදවීම හේතුවෙන් මෙරට පාරිභෝගිකයා දෙවතාවක් සූරාකෑමට ලක්ව ඇති බවයි ඔහු පෙන්වා දුන්නේ.

අත්‍යවශ්‍ය නොවන භාණ්ඩ ආනයනය සීමා කිරීම මගින් අවම වශයෙන් ඩොලර් මිලියන 75 ක පමණ මුදලක් මාසිකව ඉතිරි කර ගැනීමට හැකි වනු ඇති බවට ශ්‍රී ලංකා මහ බැංකුව පුරෝකථනය කර තිබෙනවා.

With free-floatation of the rupee the Central Bank has withdrawn the precious scheme of offering highest interest rates on foreign currency deposits by banks.

මහ බැංකුවේ මැදිහත්වීමකින් තොරව රුපියලේ අගය අඛණ්ඩව නිදහසේ තීරණය වීමට ඉඩලබා දුනහොත් පවතින ඩොලර් අර්බුදය යම් ආකාරයකින් සමනය වනු ඇති බව මහ බැංකුවේ හිටපු නියෝජ්‍ය අධිපතිවරයෙකු වන ආචාර්ය ඩබ්ලිව් ඒ විජේවර්ධන පවසනවා.
