මැතිවරණය අවසන් වූ වහාම රැකියා ලක්ෂය ලබා දීමේ වැඩසටහන ආරම්භ කරන බව අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

‘උප්පැන්න සහතිකය‘ යන්න වෙනුවට ‘ජාතික උප්පැන්න සහතිකය‘ නමින් නෛතික ක්‍රමෝපායන් සම්පූර්ණවීමෙන් පසු ජනගත කිරීමට රෙජිස්ට්‍රාර් ජනරාල් දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව කටයුතු යොදා තිබේ.

The Registrar General’s Department says the details pertaining to the marital status of parents and the ethnicity are to undergo a change on birth certificates.
