අගෝස්තු මස 05 වෙනිදා පැවැත්වෙන පාර්ලිමේන්තු මහ මැතිවරණය පැයකින් දීර්ඝ කිරිමට මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව තීරණය කර තිබෙනවා.

පසුගිය යහපාලන රජය යටතේ කොළඹ වරාය නගර ගිවිසුම වෙනස් කිරිම හේතුවෙන් වරාය නගරයෙන් මෙරටට අයිති විය යුතුව තිබූ ඉඩම් විශාල ප‍්‍රමාණයක් අහිමි වූ බව අග‍්‍රාමාත්‍ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසනවා.

ඉදිරි මහ මැතිවරණයෙන් පසු අමාත්‍ය මණ්ඩලය පත් කිරීමේදී මෙරට කැබිනට් ඉතිහාසයේ ප්‍රථම වරට කැබිනට් අමාත්‍යවරුන්ට සමාන්තරව රාජ්‍ය අමාත්‍යවරුන්ට ද එකවර ගැසට් මගින් විෂය කාර්යයන් පැවරීමට ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා තීරණය කර ඇත.

පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ මෙවර මහ මැතිවරණයට තරඟවදින අපේක්ශකයන්ගේ ජයග්‍රහනය තහවුරු කරනු පිණිස ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මැතිතුමා අද (06) පුත්තලම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ චාරිකාවක නිරත වෙයි.
