The Foreign Ministry yesterday said all Sri Lankans or dual citizens would be allowed to travel on any commercial flight to the country without requiring Foreign Secretary or Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) approval from 26 December.

ගුවන් තොටුපල කටයුතු නැවත ආරම්භ කිරීමෙන් අනතරුව පැමිණෙන පළමු සංචාරකයින් කණ්ඩායමකට මෙරටට පැමිණීමට අවසර ලබා දී ඇත.

The Government in recognition of the role of Sri Lankan’s employed overseas and their contribution to the economy amidst, the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, proposed in the Budget 2021 an incentive to pay Rs.2 per USD when such employees or their beneficiaries converts such remittances of earnings into Sri Lankan Rupees.

2021 අයවැය යෝජනාවලට අනුව වතු සේවක අවම දෛනික වැටුප රුපියල් දහස දක්වා වැඩි කිරීම පිළිබඳ අවසන් තීරණය ගැනීමට තව සතියක කාලයක් ලබාදීමට කම්කරු අමාත්‍ය නිමල් සිරිපාල ද සිල්වා මහතා අද (21) තීරණය කර තිබේ.

The Government is in a strong position to reopen the schools as soon as possible, subject to health guidelines, Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said.
