ලබන සෙනසුරාදා පැවැත්වෙන ජනාධිපතිවරණයේදී ඡන්දය සලකුණු කරන ඡන්දදායකයා අතින් අත්වැරැද්දක් සිදු වුවහොත් එය නිවැරදි කිරීම සඳහා ඔහුට හෝ ඇයට තවත් ඡන්ද පත්‍රකාවක් නිකුත් කිරීම සඳහා ඡන්ද පොලේ සිටින නිළධාරීන්ට කිසිදු බලයක් නොමැති බව මැතිවරණ කොමිසමේ සභාපති මහින්ද දේශප්‍රිය මහතා පවසයි.

Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera yesterday said the signing of the $ 480 million Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) agreement would be postponed until after the Presidential Election, and pledged to present the agreement to Parliament shortly after 16 November.
