The government is looking into the need of keeping all government and private offices closed for a few days, in the wake of the Covid-19 threat.

The Catholic Archdiocese of Colombo said yesterday there was no need to stop Sunday Mass and Lenten rituals just yet because the coronavirus had not reached dangerous levels in Sri Lanka.
According to the latest statistics issued by the Epidemiology Unit yesterday a total of 133 individuals (including nine foreigners) are currently under observation for COVID-19. Eighteen Sri Lankans living in Sri Lanka found positive for the virus are now being treated at the National Infectious Diseases Hospital and several other centres.
Dehiwala National Zoo, Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Pinnawela Zoo, Ridiyagama Safari Park, Botanical Gardens and all the National Parks under the Wildlife Department will be closed for two weeks from tomorrow as a precautionary measure to contain Covid-19.

මේ වන විට මෙරටින් වාර්තා වන කොරෝනා ආසාදිතයින්ගේ සංඛ්‍යාව 7 දක්වා ඉහළ ගොස් ඇති බව සෞඛ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය පවිත්‍රා වන්නිආරච්චි මහත්මිය පවසයි.
කොරෝනා ආසාධිත තවත් රෝගීන් තිදෙනෙකු අලුතින් හඳුනාගෙන ඇති බව සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් අනිල් ජාසිංහ මහතා පවසයි.
නව කොරෝනා වෛරසය ආසාදනය වී ඇතැයි සැකකෙරෙන කටුනායක ගුවන් තොටුපළේ නිලධාරියෙකු රෝහල්ගත කර ඇතැයි වාර්තා වනවා.
ශ්‍රී ලංකාවෙන් හමුවූ පළමුවැනි කොරෝනා ආසාදිතයා නවාතැන්ගෙන සිටි දඹුල්ල හෝටලයේ අයකැමිවරයා අද (14) දින කොරෝනා වැළදී ඇති බවට පවසමින් ස්වෙච්චාවෙන් ලුණුගල දිසා රෝහලට ඇතුළත් වී තිබේ.

As of today some 60 Sri Lankans and two foreigners are under medical observation at various hospitals in the country for possible coronavirus infection, Government Epidemiology Unit (GEU) Chief Epidemiologist Dr. Samitha Guruge said.
