එළඹෙන සිංහල - දෙමළ අලුත් අවුරුදු සමයේදී රට තුළ බඩුමිල ඉහළ නැංවීමේ අරමුණින් වෙළඳ මාෆියාවක් ක්‍රියාත්මක වන බව අමාත්‍ය විමල් වීරවංශ මහතා පවසයි.

ඉඩම් ප‍්‍රතිසංස්කරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව සතු ඉඩම්වල පදිංචිව සිටින පුද්ගලයින්ට ඔප්පු ලබාදීමේ වැඩපිළිවෙළ කඩිනම් කිරීමට එම කොමිෂන් සභාව පියවර ගෙන තිබෙනවා.

කොළඹ නගරයේ රාජ්‍ය අයතනවල ආරක්ෂක සේවා රාජකාරී කළ සිවිල් ආරක්ෂකයින් එම රාජකාරීවලින් ඉවත් කිරීමේ කාලය ලබන මාර්තු 31 වැනිදා දක්වා දීර්ඝ කිරීමට පියවර ගෙන ඇතැයි සිවිල් ආරක්ෂක බළකාය කියයි.

The government has to pay Rs. 1,188 million to the Election Commission for the 2016 Presidential election and an advance for the upcoming General Election, according to government sources.

Ahead of the upcoming 43rd Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) scheduled to commence next Monday (24 February), Foreign Secretary Ravinatha Aryasinha briefed the President of the HRC Ambassador Elisabeth Tichy-Fisslberger on the government’s stand on UN resolutions 30/1 and 34/1.

ජනාධිපතිවරණයෙන් පසු ආණ්ඩුවක් පිහිටුවීමට තමා පුද්ගලිකව එකඟ නොවූ බව අග්‍රාමාත්‍ය මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසයි.

The government is making arrangements to set up a laboratory to test the quality of medicinal drugs, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa said.

The Godagama-Barawakumbuka stretch of the Southern Expressway (E-01) will be opened for public use tomorrow by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Godagama interchange at 3.00 p.m, E-01 Deputy Director R.A.D. Kahatapitiya said.

Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, who officially informed the Parliament of Government’s decision to withdraw from co-sponsored UN resolution 30/1, said that the government would continue to work with the UN and its agencies, including the regular human rights mandates/bodies and mechanisms as required in keeping with domestic priorities and policies.
