The Multi-Purpose Development Task Force has requested the Election Commission to grant permission to continue with the programme to lift 100,000 families from absolute poverty since it was started three months ago.

An Air Quality Monitoring Station (AQMS) to monitor the air quality of Colombo city has been installed jointly by the National Building Research Organization (NBRO) and the Public Health Department of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC).

2020 මහ මැතිවරණයේ තැපැල් ඡන්ද අයදුම්පත් භාරගැනීම අද (06) ආරම්භ වනවා. එය ලබන 16 වැනිදා දක්වා සිදුකෙරෙන බව මැතිවරණ කොමිෂන් සභාව පවසනවා.

පසුගිය යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුවේ ඇමතිවරුන් පිරිසක් තවමත් ඔවුන් භාවිතා කළ නිළ නිවාස ආපසු බාරදීමට කටයුතු කර නොමැති බව වාර්තා වේ. එසේ නිළ නිවාස බාර නොදුන් හිටපු ඇමතිවරුන්ට එරෙහිව නීතිමය පියවර ගැනීමට රාජ්‍ය පරිපාලන හා ස්වදේශ කටයුතු අමාත්‍යංශය තීරණය කර තිබේ.
