වසර දෙකහමාරකට ප්‍රමාණවත් විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්‍ර දසලක්ෂයක් මුද්‍රණය කිරීම සඳහා විදේශ ආයතනයකට ලබාදී ඇති කොන්ත්‍රාත්තුවෙන් පසු විදේශ ගමන් බලපත්‍ර රජයේ මුද්‍රණාලයෙන් මුද්‍රණය කිරීමට ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍යාංශය තීරණය කර ඇත.

කාන්තාවන් ගෘහසේවිකාවන් ලෙස රැකියා සඳහා විදේශගත කිරීමට තමන් පෞද්ගලිකව විරුද්ධ බවත්, ඔවුන්ට ගෞරවාන්විත රැකියා ලබා දීම රජයේ අරමුණ බවත්, කම්කරු අමාත්‍ය නිමල් සිරිපාල ද සිල්වා මහතා ප්‍රකාශ කළේය.

මෙරට භූගෝලීය පිහිටීම ප‍්‍රයෝජනයට ගෙන ශ‍්‍රී ලංකාව ලොව ප‍්‍රධානතම නාවික කේන්ද්‍රස්ථානයක් බවට පත් කළ හැකි බව ජනාධිපති ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා පවසනවා.
