Speaker announced that the clauses 3, 5, 14 and 22 of the 20th Amendment in the present form are inconsistent with the Constitution and need to be approved by people at a referendum.
Announcing the determination of the Supreme Court, he said such inconsistencies in clauses 3 and 14 would ease by amending in accordance with the proposed committee stage amendments.
Inconsistency in clause 5 would cease if it was suitably amended as specified in the determination.
