The Education Ministry today decided to re-open all primary grades from 1 to 5 from January 11, 2021, except the schools in the Western Province, Education Minister Prof. G.L. Pieris said.

Minister of Media - Keheliya Rambukwella says the media ministry has formulated a plan to register all social media users including Facebook users, in the country.

The people's behaviour in the coming days will decide whether a countrywide quarantine curfew is necessary during the Christmas season, Head of National Operations Centre for the Prevention of Covid-19, Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said dispelling rumours that the country will be under lockdown from December 23.

The Government is in a strong position to reopen the schools as soon as possible, subject to health guidelines, Education Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris said.

පිරිසුදු පොල්තෙල් ආනයනයේ දී කිලෝග්‍රෑමයකට ලබා දුන් රුපියල් 25ක සහනය නව බදු සංශෝධනයේ දීද ලබා ගනිමින් ප්‍රබල ව්‍යාපාරිකයකු රජයට රුපියල් ලක්ෂ එක්දහස් හත්සිය පනහක (1750) ක බදු වංචාවක් සිදු කර තිබේ.
