The Democratic United Front alliance is scheduled to be announced during the first week of September, an UNP-MP told Sri Lanka Mirror.

ඉදිරි සති දෙක තුන ඇතුළත ඉදිරි ජනාධිපතිවරණය සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂයේ අවසන් තීරණය ගන්නා බවත්, මොනම හේතුවක් නිසාවත් ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය , පොහොට්ටුවට දිය කරන්න සූදානමක් නොමැති බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂ ජාතික සංවිධායක, හිටපු අමාත්‍ය පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී දුමින්ද දිසානායක මහතා පැවසීය.

Pivithuru Hela Urumaya (PHU) General Secretary Udaya Gammanpila said no one could stop Gotabaya Rajapaksa becoming the next president.

Addressing a news briefing, he said both the UNP and the JVP had tried their level best to prove that Gotabaya was neither fit nor eligible to contest at the presidential poll.

The Cabinet is reported to have approved a request by the government yesterday to present a Vote on Account (VoA) to allocate state expenditure during the first quarter of next year because it will be unrealistic to present a fully-fledged budget in the wake of a presidential election.

තමන් ඕනෑම මොහොතක ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් දිවිපිදීමට සුදානම් බව අමාත්‍ය සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස ප්‍රකාශ කරනවා. බදුල්ලේ වීල්ස් පාක් ක්‍රීඩාංගනයේදී පැවැත්වෙන මහජන රැලිය ආරම්භ කරමින් අමාත්‍යවරයා මේ බව කියා සිටියා.

ඉදිරි ජනාධිපතිවරණය සඳහා ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ ප්‍රධාන කරගත් නව බලවේගයේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂක ලෙස පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා හෝ හිටපු විගනකාධිපති ගාමිනි විජේසිංහ මහතා ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට නියමිතව ඇතැයි දේශපාලන ආරංචි මාර්ග පවසයි.

Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka said Gotabaya Rajapaksa was selected as the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) presidential candidate as its leaders clearly understood the current security situation in the country.

Former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa will definitely become the next President and former President Mahinda Rajapaksa the Prime Minister, and the two will lead the country with one plan and a strong bond, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardana said.

එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණ ප්‍රමුඛ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී ජාතික පෙරමුණ එළිදක්වන දිනයේදීම එම නව සන්ධානයේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා නම් කිරීමට එක්සත් ජාතික පෙරමුණේ පක්ෂ නායක රැස්වීමේදී තීරණය වූ බව දේශපාලන අභ්‍යන්තර ආරංචි මාර්ග සදහන් කරයි.

ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණ ප්‍රමුඛ ජාතික ජනබලවේගයේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස ජනතා විමුක්ති පෙරමුණේ නායක අනුර කුමාර දිසානායක මහතා පත් කිරීමට නියමිත බවට වාර්තා වේ.

 Referring to the current political situation, United People's Freedom Alliance (UPFA) General Secretary Mahinda Amaraweera said he was still trying hard to unify the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) and the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) to ensure victory for the anti-UNP camp's presidential candidate.

එක්සත් ජාතික පක්ෂයේ ජනාධිපතිවරණ අපේක්ෂකත්වය නොලැබෙන්නේ නම් සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතාව වෙනත් පක්ෂයකින් ජනාධිපතිවරණයට ඉදිරිපත් කිරීමට සැලසුම් කර ඇති බව සජිත් ප්‍රේමදාස මහතාගේ සමීපතමයෙකු වන අමාත්‍ය දිලිප් වෙද ආරච්චි මහතා පවසයි.

ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂය සහ පොදු ජන පෙරමුණ ඉදිරියේදී එකතු වනවා නම් එකතු වන්නේ ගෞරවාන්විතව පමණයි. එහෙම නැතිව පක්ෂය කඩලා,පාගලා දාන අයත් එක්ක එකතු වෙන්න කිසිම අදහසක් නොමැති බව ශ්‍රී ලංකා නිදහස් පක්ෂයේ මහා ලේකම් පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත්‍රී දයාසිරි ජයසේකර මහතා පැවසීය.

ශ්‍රි ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ නායක, විපක්ෂ නායක මහින්ද රාජපක්ෂ මහතා සහ පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපතිවරණ අපේක්ෂක ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ මහතා ඇතුළු නියෝජිතයන් අද (12) අනුරාධපුරයට පැමිණීමට නියමිතව තිබේ.

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) says the Tamils in Sri Lanka are more united now than they were during the war.

හිටපු ආරක්ෂක ලේකම් ගෝඨාභය රාජපක්ෂ ශ‍්‍රී ලංකා පොදුජන පෙරමුණේ ජනාධිපති අපේක්ෂකයා ලෙස නම් කිරීමෙන් පසු නෙත් නිවුස් ඒ සම්බන්ධයෙන් විමසීමට පාර්ලිමේන්තු මන්ත‍්‍රී කුමාර වෙල්ගම ද සම්බන්ධ කර ගත්තා.
