In early 2020 when the first COVID-19 wave swept across Sri Lanka, triggering lockdowns, and impacting livelihoods, the World Bank and the Government came together to support emergency response actions across multiple hard-hit sectors. The result was the creation of the Contingent Emergency Response Components (CERC) Pool covering key economic sectors of agriculture, education, ICT, transport, and disaster risk management.

ප්‍රධානතම ජාත්‍යන්තර ණය ශ්‍රේණිගත කිරීමේ ආයතනයක් වන Standard & Poor's ආයතනය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ ණය ශ්‍රේණිගත කිරීමේ ඉදිරි දැක්ම CCC+ මට්ටමේ සිට CCC- දක්වා පහළ දමා තිබේ.

තුන්වන එන්නතක් ගැන අවදානය

ජපානයේ අපද්‍රව්‍ය සහිත මොඩර්නා එන්නත් ලබාගත් දෙදෙනෙක් මරණයට පත් වී තිබේ.එම මරණවලට හේතුව මොඩර්නා එන්නතදැයි තවම තහවුරු වී නැතත්, ඒ පිළිබඳ දැඩි විමර්ශන පැවැත්වෙන බවයි, විදෙස් වාර්තා සඳහන් කරන්නේ.

The Ambassador of the Netherlands to Sri Lanka Tanja Gonggrijp paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris on Wednesday 25 August at the Foreign Ministry in Colombo. Ambassador Gonggrijp extended her warm felicitations to Foreign Minister Peiris at the outset of the courtesy meeting.
