යහපාලන ආණ්ඩුව විසින් 2018 වසරේදී ගෙන ආ ‘ණය ආපසු ගෙවීමේ අය බද්ද’ අහෝසි කිරීමට රජය තීරණය කර ඇත.

Sri Lanka at present produces approximately 150 out of around 1,100 types of pharmaceuticals imported to the country, according to the Medical Supplies Division (MSD) of the Ministry of Health.

රුහුණු, පිහිටි, මායා නමින් එදා රජ කාලයේ පවත්වාගෙන ගිය අයුරින් පළාත් සභා නවයක් වෙනුවට පළාත් සභා තුනක් පමණක් පවත්වාගෙන යාමට විද්වතුන් ලබාදුන් යෝජනා රජයටද ලබාදෙන බව පළාත් සභා හා පළාත් පාලන කටයුතු රාජ්‍ය ඇමැති රියර් අද්මිරාල් සරත් වීරසේකර පවසයි.

අයවැයට පෙර ඇමැති මණ්ඩල සංශෝධනයක් සිදු කිරීමට ආණ්ඩුවේ සූදානමක් ඇති බව රජයේ ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරයි.

යෝජිත 20 වැනි ආණ්ඩුක්‍රම ව්‍යවස්ථා සංශෝධනය ලබන නොවැම්බර් මුල් සතියේ පාර්ලිමේන්තුවේදී සම්මත කර ගැනීමට රජය අපේක්ෂා කරන බව ඉහළ පෙළේ ආරංචි මාර්ග සඳහන් කරයි.

පළාත් සභා නවය නඩත්තු කිරීම සඳහා පසුගිය වසරේදී (2019) පමණක් මධ්‍යම රජය රුපියල් කෝටි 21,878 ක වැය බරක් දරා ඇත.

“ ත්‍රිරෝද රථ අලංකරණයට යම් කොටස් එකතු කර ගැනිමට ඉල්ලීමක් තිබුණා. ඒ පිළිබඳව මෝටර් රථ ප්‍රවාහන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව හා සාකච්ඡා කරලා ගත්ත තීරණ අනුව ත්‍රිරෝද රථ අලංකරණයට අවසර ලැබෙන කොටස් මෙන් ම අවසර නොලැබෙන කොටස් ප්‍රමාණයකුත් තියනවා. අවසර ලැබෙන කොටස් ප්‍රමාණය වැඩි නිසා තහනම් කොටස් පමණක් අපි ඉදිරි සතිය තුළ ගැසට් නිවේදනය කරන්න බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.”

Government is committed to resolve the issues faced by the up-country Tamils for which late Minister Arumugam Thondaman stood for, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa told Parliament yesterday.

The Finance Ministry has revoked its suspension of corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities of State-owned enterprises (SOEs), which has been in place since last November.

The Government is planning to produce 50% of the country’s requirement of pharmaceuticals locally within the next three years, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said in a statement.

“A simple start can make a big difference over time. Therefore, initiate the process with the simplest step. When we came to power in the year 2005, we could not even get out. There was garbage everywhere. There were three garbage mounds within 100 yards from my official residence at that time. Proper waste removal is an easy process. Every Ministry can render a great service with simple tasks,” said President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, addressing State Ministers at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday.
