Former Defence Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and Police Chief Pujith Jayasundara have been further remanded until December 3 upon orders issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court.
They have been accused of failing to take action to prevent the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks, despite receiving prior warnings from intelligence units.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today (Nov 19) informed court that there were no bank accounts to Fernando’s name based on financial records obtained from 73 institutions.
