Notorious underworld kingpin Samarasinghe Arachchilage Madush Lakshitha alias Makandure Madush has accepted responsibility for the shooting of the Police Narcotics Division OIC – IP Neomal Rangajeewa and underworld leader Aruna Udaya Shantha alias ranale Samayang while he was being taken to courts in a prison bus, according to CID internal sources.
He has also revealed details of close alliances with Western Province prominent politician in the government and a Southern Province prominent former minister.
However, Madush has revealed that when he was arrested in Dubai, both of them had avoided helping him.
Madush had said that whenever the Western Province Minister had visited the South all accommodation and hospitality had been provided by him.
So far the police have recovered two 3.8 pistols used by Madush.
