Joint Postal Trade Unions stated that the daily mail services cannot be carried out due to the malfunctioning of the internet of the postal services island wide.
The service of 653 Post Offices and 3,410 Sub Post Offices have been disrupted for the last 5 days.
The convener of the Front, K.M. Chinthaka Bandara speaking to the Hiru news team stated that if the internet connection is not restored within the next two days, they will resort to a trade union action.
