Secretary to the Prime Minister Saman Ekanayake has been issued notices to appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the allegations of corruption and malpractices in the government on August 27th.
He has been summoned for inquiry regarding the complaint lodged with regard to the building where the Ministry of Agriculture is located.
The building which the Agriculture Ministry is located had been leased and the relevant Cabinet paper had been submitted by Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, it was revealed before the Commission.
The Commission had notified Ekanayake to produce the relevant Cabinet paper and all other documents pertaining to the lease when he reports to the Commission.
