The father of notorious drug kingpin Mohommad Najim Mohammad Imran, alias Kanjipani Imran, had filed a motion in the Aluthkade Magistrate's Court citing that the B Report submitted by the Police to the Court relating to his son was erroneous.
Accordingly, the Court issued notice on the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) Director to appear before Court on July 19 and it would consider issuing notice on the Attorney General on that date.
The case was postponed till July 24. Kanjipani Imran is currently detained by CCD.
Kanjipani Imran and three others, who were arrested along with Makandure Madush in Dubai recently, were taken under CID custody on extradition at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) and later handed over to the CCD.
