The Railway Locomotive Engine Drivers Union says trade union action will be launched again if the government fails to resolve their issues.
Secretary of the Locomotive Engineering Operators' Union (LEOU) Indika Dodangoda has told The Island that the unions will conduct a strike each Friday if the government does not address their grievances by June 28.
He said if the government does not solve the issues they face, all railway unions will strike from 27 midnight to 28 midnight.
The Railway unions launched a 48-hour strike from midnight last Thursday (June 20) after the discussions with the Minister of Finance have failed to reach an agreement to resolve their salary anomalies.
