Tissa’s daughter appointed to the Australian High Commission

The daughter of the former UNP General Secretary and former Health Minister Tissa Attanayake, Dulmini Attanayake has been appointed as the Third Secretary to the Australian High Commission, it is reported.

Foreign Minister Tilak Marapana had obtained Cabinet approval for this appointment last Tuesday.

On a prior occasion the Cabinet paper in this regard had been rejected as it had not received the approval of the Salaries and Cadre Commission.

However, it is reported that the Salaries and Cadre Commission approval for this appointment has now been granted.
