The 30-day scholarship training program ‘2019 – Silk Road Project for Sri Lanka Media Talents’ commenced on 10 October in Chongqing, China.
A delegation of 20 media personalities including press and electronic sector journalists, media practitioners and university media professionals are attending the program.
The training program was coordinated by Sri Lanka-China Journalists’ Forum through an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with the Chongqing Normal University last year for an annual scholarship exchange program of journalists for the Silk Road – Belt and Road Educational Project. The MOU has also facilitated the inclusion of a group of media professionals from the University of Kelaniya in this year’s program.
This program will be held at the Chongqing Normal University in China from 10 October to 8 November, at the end of which the trainees will be awarded the Silk Road Scholarship Certificate.
