Members of the Channa Upuli Dance Troupe perform during the Sri Lanka National Day celebrations at the Expo 2020 Dubai yesterday. The performance themed ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’ was staged at Al Wasl Plaza at the Stage of Nations of Expo 2020 Dubai. Foreign Affairs Minister Prof. G.L. Peiris, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga represented Sri Lanka and UAE Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh represented the Government of the United Arab Emirates at the ceremony. Sri Lanka is using the six-month long Expo 2020 to promote trade, investments and tourism.
