World renowned Sri Lankan cricket players Kumar Sangakkara and Lasith Malinga have been named for the best teams of the decade.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the Men’s T20I, ODI and Test teams of the decade and Sanga has been named for the Test team while Malinga has been named for both the ODI and T20I teams.
Virat Kohli has been named as the captain of the Test team while MS Dhoni has been named as the captain of both the ODI and T20I teams.
The teams are :
ICC Men’s Test Team of the Decade: Alastair Cook, David Warner, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli (capt), Steve Smith, Kumar Sangakkara (wk), Ben Stokes, R Ashwin, Dale Steyn, Stuart Broad, James Anderson
ICC’s ODI Team of the Decade: Rohit Sharma, David Warner, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Shakib Al Hasan, MS Dhoni (c), Ben Stokes, Mitchell Starc, Trent Boult, Imran Tahir and Lasith Malinga.
ICC’s T20I Team of the Decade: Rohit Sharma, Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, MS Dhoni (c), Kieron Pollard, Rashid Khan, Jasprit Bumrah, and Lasith Malinga.
