Targeted at the permit holders, this 1.6 lt. intercooler turbo diesel 4x4 SUV comes with a feature set and value proposition that is unmatched in its class. SsangYong Motors were formed way back in 1954, are the true pioneers of manufacturing the South Korean SUV.
Starting in 1993, they introduced the acclaimed Musso based on proven Mercedes-Benz technology and sold this model worldwide, including in Sri Lanka. The C300 Korando is the fourth generation of the Korando mid-sized SUV. Launched globally this year, the model on launch in Sri Lanka is a 1.6 lt. intercooler turbo diesel variant. With an output of a competitive 136bhp, the engine drives all four wheels through AISIN (Japanese) six-speed automatic gearbox.
The attractive TCT Blaze cockpit creates an exciting cabin environment, and the Korando comes fully loaded with all the creature comforts, including a touchscreen control, mood lighting, electric leather seats, wireless phone charging, electric sunroof, power tailgate, LED headlamps and LED fog lamps and 19” alloy wheels.
On the safety side, the Korando comes with blind spot detection, lane change assist, rear cross traffic intervention, anti-rollover protection, airbags, ABS and ESP. All this is offered at an unbeatable Rs. 7.6 million for permit holders.
