The present government’s anti corruption efforts have already been put into practice with the commitment from political leaders as well as public support, official sources said.
Sri Lanka police have been directed to take legal action against any public sector official or politician involved in corrupt practices in the past and present period.
As a major step towards this end action will be taken to bring to justice the perpetrators of Central Bank Bond scam and 20 major financial crimes took place in the country in the recent past.
This will be in line with the Forensic Audit Reports in relation to the Central Bank Treasury Bond investigation.
Those reports have been submitted to parliament by the Attorney General’s department.
The Central Bank said that the Attorney General had advised the Monetary Authority to limit access to the five forensic audits conducted by them only to relevant officials as they may contain information that could be used as evidence in ongoing investigations and future legal action.
.Further measures will be taken to strengthen the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or· Corruption to act against the corrupted politicians and Public officials.

Ensuring law reforms and new Technology to eliminate corruption action will be taken to introduce an online system for the procurement, tax determination, and contract awarding to minimize the bribery and corruption.
Government will implement an e- technology system to receive public complaints.
