The Transport Ministry today launched eleven Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus services to facilitate the office community.
This was initiated by Transport Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi.
Accordingly, bus services were commenced to Kirindiwela - Yakkala - Katunayake - Padukka - Matugama - Horana - Avissawella - Nittambuwa - Colombo Fort - Dematagoda Railway Station and Kadawatha centering on Sethsiripaya.
The Minister said the bus services were launched to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among the office crowd.
The office staffers working around Battaramulla will be provided with this service and designed to ensure the health of the people and surrounding government institutions that a single bus service can easily reach their destinations.
She said the launch of such office bus services would ensure the health of both public and private sector employees coming for employment. (Daily Mirror)
