The Ministry of Health says the COVID-19 pandemic is under control in Sri Lanka.
Deputy Director General of Public Health Dr. Paba Palihawadana said that as of now there have not been any reports of the virus moving among society.
The spread of the coronavirus has been limited to the Navy with the latest confirmed cases also being Navy officers and a relative of a Navy officer.
However, Dr. Paba Palihawadana said that the public must continue to follow health guidelines to ensure the virus does not spread.
She said that social distancing must be followed and washing hands must also be ensured.
Dr. Paba Palihawadana also said that wearing face masks is also important when going out in public and when at work. (Colombo Gazette)
