Leading drug dealer M.N. Mohamed Imran alias Kanjipaani Imran was remanded until September 20 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today for threatening a Police Officer over the phone, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Kanjipaani Imran was charged for threatening the officer-in-charge of the Crimes Division of the Keselwatte Police Station during a telephone call.
SP Gunasekera said he was arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
The Colombo Chief Magistrate ordered to send a voice sample of Kanjipaani Imran to the Government Analyst.
