The Negombo shopping complex of the Municipal Council has been closed after a businessman and his wife tested positive for Covid-19 today, PHI in the area, S.D.L.Wasantha said.
He said the businessman had operated a textile shop in the shopping complex.
The PCR tests are being conducted on the other vendors of the shopping complex and on the contacts of the businessman and his wife.
However, it is yet to be ascertained as to how he contracted the virus.
The businessman is a resident of Kimbulapitiya, Katana and has reportedly participated in a wedding in Divulapitiya recently. (Daily Mirror)
