Another 69 people including factory workers have tested positive for Covid-19 from Minuwangoda area after the female garment factory worker tested positive for the virus from Divulapitiya yesterday, Army Commander Shavendra Silva.
He said the they tested positive for the virus from the 150 PCR tests carried out.
Moreover, he said over 1,400 employees of the apparel factory are to be subjected to PCR tests.
Accordingly, the Epidemiology Unit said the toll of confirmed Covid-19 patients in Sri Lanka surged to 3,471 with 199 active cases while 3,259 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals.
