Taking into consideration the impact and pressure on Grade 5 students studying for the examinations during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Education Ministry has decided to act in a relaxed manner with a focus on fairness and humanity.
Education Minister Dullas Alahapperuma said this while addressing a media briefing at the Ministry today.
Accordingly, the Ministry has decided to extend the 45-minute duration of the grade five examination first paper by fifteen minutes. The multiple-choice questions which had four answers on the second paper has been reduced to three for the current year.
