The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) today made a formal complaint to the National Elections Commission accusing the Government of misusing state resources to gain votes.
The SLPP told the National Elections Commission that state employees, public property and other state resources including vehicles are being used for election work by the United National Front.
SLPP members Dullas Alahapperuma, Susil Premajayantha and others who met National Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya today, submitted a written complaint against the United National Front.
They accused the United National Front of violating election laws and urged the National Elections Commission to take appropriate action.
