Opposition MP Nalin Bandara says foreign reserves shrunk to the bottom

Opposition MP Nalin Bandara says the country's foreign reserves would have shrunk to the bottom due the US 1 billion loan repayment made on Monday.

He said the government was attempting to sell state resources as the loan payment has dealt a severe blow to the country's foreign reserves.

"The government does not have money. So they are trying to sell out state properties such as the power plant at Kerawalapitiya," he added.

He also revealed that some people are trying to create communal disharmony."So we urge the government not to allow such things."
