It will provide all the benefits to migrant’s workers in a systematic method under the one package. The package includes vocational training, self-employment opportunities, medical facilities and insurance, special loan scheme, relief packages on telephone conversations and scholarships for the children of the migrant workers.
Even after coming to Sri Lanka, workers will get benefits such as bank loans for self employment ventures and business.
An insurance scheme named as “Relief Insurance Fund” has been implemented by Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Agency (Pvt) Company with a view of granting a compensation and reimbursement the expenditure incurred to get migrants return to Sri Lanka.
This compensation will be paid for Sri Lankan s serving overseas if they were completely, partially disable or died during the period of employment.
This insurance scheme had been taken under the purview of Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment without taking the responsibility to compensate the damage of insured during the cover period.
Accordingly the one of main activities of the company had been revoked and the compensation amount had to be borne by encasing the fixed deposit investments of the Company.
