Four websites belonging to four government institutes came under a cyberattack on Tuesday (18), said the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT).
The websites of the Health Ministry, Sri Lankan Embassy in China, Energy Ministry and the Rajarata University are the four government agencies that suffered the cyber attack.
Ravindu Meegasmulla, an IT engineer at the CERT says they have found that the data on these websites have been corrupted.
He said the websites of the Health Ministry and Power Ministry have been restored, adding that no data had been stolen from these websites, but data was corrupted.
